SASOA is ready and rearing to start off the academic year. The team is waiting in the wings.

The entire SASOA team is looking forward to meeting all our new students. This is going to be a unique year as the School becomes established and those who start off the year with us will always be close to us. This does not leave out other intakes, but as you will understand it is going to be special. Our goal throughout the year is going to work toward excellence.

First Semester Social Event - October 2012

An event close to heart of the school will be a team build and race a raft. Teams will be decided on beforehand. Firstly, the team must design the raft. Secondly, they are required to source the material for the raft. Finally, on the day of the race, the team must assemble it, get it to the start and then race it. Note, their will be two races. The second race will be for as many people as you can fit on your raft (team and friends). Remeber, this is a fun day and you are encouraged to bring with you as many of your family members (parents), girl friends, boy friends, etc. as you can fit into your car. We will have a braai for lunch so you need to cater (charcoal, meat, salad, drinks, etc.) for all your family that you are responsible for. This will be a good day to meet and team with others studying toward the same goal. Details of this event will be published on the website under the banner “up-and-coming events.”

Other events will be held in the second semester, but this will be shared at a later point and time.

Looking forward to have you as students and trust that your academic year will be fun. If you are not having fun during your studies, you are doing it wrong. There is a time to be serious and a time just to let your hair down and have fun with like minded people.
